In 2023, Atlas Copco celebrated 150 years of innovation — and we marked the occasion with a summer full of experiences designed to bring people together. From employees and their families to retirees, neighbours, suppliers, clients, and press: every audience played a part in the story. That’s why we created a tailored approach for each group, making sure everyone felt personally connected to the celebration in a way that truly resonated.

Family Weekend
Their wish was clear: create one big family weekend for all employees and their loved ones. So we transformed an empty field next to the Atlas Copco site in Wilrijk into a vibrant festival ground packed with entertainment for every generation. From climbing walls and graffiti workshops to a live show by Samson & Marie and an explosive DJ set by Regi as the ultimate crowd-puller.
Inside the large sports hall, we created an immersive Atlas Copco Expo that brought the company’s story to life. Visitors explored the brand’s rich history, celebrated the people behind its success, and discovered its vision for the future. Press and local residents were also invited to experience the exhibition while enjoying food and drinks in a relaxed setting.
Younger visitors had their own adventures to dive into as well. Together with their parents, children could take part in interactive STEM challenges and hands-on activities that introduced them to technology and innovation in a playful, accessible way.
We also highlighted Water for All, Atlas Copco’s volunteer initiative dedicated to improving access to clean drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene worldwide. Through an interactive experience, guests discovered the journey water takes in developing countries and why responsible water usage matters more than ever. A meaningful layer of awareness woven naturally into the fun.
Another crowd favourite was the factory tour, offering press, colleagues, partners, and children an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the site. Visitors got to experience the production process up close and see firsthand how Atlas Copco drives innovation and efficiency every single day.
Midsommar Parties
In the weeks surrounding the family festival, each division was invited to its own dedicated Midsommar Party, hosted every evening on Atlas Copco’s sports grounds.
For the concept, we looked to Sweden — the birthplace of Atlas Copco — and drew inspiration from the country’s iconic Midsommar celebrations. Considered Sweden’s biggest celebration after Christmas, Midsommar marks the official start of summer and comes with a whole set of beloved traditions.
We raised a traditional maypole, filled the venue with flowers, served delicious dishes straight from the Ofyr BBQ, and kept the energy high with sunny DJ beats throughout the evening. Across the site, oversized games invited guests of all ages to relax, connect, and embrace the summer atmosphere together.
The concept struck such a chord with the client that the Midsommar events have now become a yearly tradition. Even without the anniversary as a reason to celebrate, we’re proud to be bringing the concept back for the fourth year in a row.
